Four years ago, Natalie and Joel were living the typical city life, working long hours in corporate jobs, with a toddler and a baby on the way. They yearned for a change, a shift in lifestyle, and the global pandemic only intensified their desire for a different path.

Building Waggle & Round
In late 2021, with their two young daughters in tow, they established Waggle & Round, their honey business. The Riverina region, with its eucalyptus trees, red soil, and the Murrumbidgee River, provided the perfect environment for their bees to thrive.
"Our honey is all-natural eucalyptus honey," Natalie explains proudly. "The flavors vary depending on the type of tree, and people love the authenticity of our process. We don't filter it, preserving all its natural enzymes and benefits."
A Life of Privilege
Today, Natalie and Joel reflect on their journey with gratitude. They've not only found the work-life balance they sought but also a deeper connection with nature and their community.
"We feel privileged to have built this life together," Natalie says. "It's a contrast from our corporate days, and we're grateful for the opportunity to raise our daughters in such a beautiful, natural environment."
As they look to the future, the Shaves plan to expand their business, increasing hive numbers and offering pollination services. Their story is a testament to the power of taking a chance and embracing a life less ordinary.
